It’s about the image, but isn’t it equally about the accompanying story?  Photos capture moments in time, preserving the story, the memories indefinitely.  After countless hours selecting, editing, and storytelling, the submission window has finally come to a close and it’s time to kick back, relax, and see if the judges rule in favor.  Red Bull Illume is one of, if not the most prestigious photo competition in action sports, showcasing the most creative and captivating photography as art, with a goal to simply to bring the public closer to our world of action sports.

Currently 50 judges have the grueling task to choose 55 winners out of this years 34, 624 submitted photos,  judging takes place in a series of 4 rounds and photographers will be notified if their work progresses to the next round of judging.
